Adventure 04 - Portal Room
After finding the map Seneca Turing left behind, the Slayers come to a cliffside cave, just in time to see a number of beasts being led into the entrance. Following behind, they come across a large portal room, where the last of the monsters is being magicked away by Kalessin Boraker. Through a brief interrogation, it is concluded that Boraker is being forced to cooperate with the rebellion of Kyle Farson, who may have one or more members of Boraker’s family hostage. With obvious sorrow in his voice, he brings forth two creatures from the alchemical laboratory commandeered by the rebellion, a flame golem and a behemoth, to kill the party, before teleporting himself to safety. The team kills both creatures and uses what arcane knowledge they have to try and reopen the portal. They bravely step through, satisfied with the work they’ve completed – but to what effect?
